ROSOIDEAE
Guidebook
Role expectations and communication standards for executives, management, captains, coaches, and players across ROSO teams.
01 ROSO Executives · Owners & GMs
- Performance-based weekly or daily check-ins with ROSO teams
- Weekly check-ins with Owners for any follow-ups
- Team decisions are made through the GM in accordance with the team’s Management or Captain / IGLs. For bigger changes, clearance with Owners is required to proceed.
Example — GM to Owners
Week 2 (6/15 – 6/21)
- “x” team is doing well / bad / ok
- “x” team has “x” problem
- “x” team needs assistance in “x”, requires Owner supervision
02 Communication Pipeline · Who to Contact
| From | To |
|---|---|
| General Manager | Owner |
| Captain / IGLs or Management | Executives (GM or Owner) |
| Players | Management (Scheduling) |
| Players | Executives (Internal / External Affairs) |
- For some teams, depending on the level of activity of the Manager, they can act as the GM and communicate directly with the Owners.
- In some instances, depending on the severity of an ongoing issue or status of a team, an Owner might step in as Temporary GM to address the issue, doing daily checkups until it is resolved. Additionally, an Owner may act as the team’s Temporary GM.
TLDR:
Scheduling scrims, finding new players when needed — not personally
monitoring every player, but keeping up with all updated schedules.
03 ROSO Management
Scrim Scheduling / Weekly Planning
- Proper use of any scheduling tool a Manager wishes to use — whether it is when2meet or schedules given by the players. Management is not responsible for any last-minute changes informed less than a couple of hours beforehand; many managers are not available 24/7 and we understand that.
- Keeping up with player schedules (as informed by the Captain).
TLDR:
Scheduling scrims, aiding in finding new players when needed, and keeping up
with updated schedules and players — not personal player or team checkups.
04 ROSO Captain · Coaches · IGLs
- Leadership of players
- Communication with management regarding players (roster drops, etc.)
- Communication with Executives or Management regarding player scheduling problems — management cannot track every player personally given the volume
- When management is not present for scrims, you are in charge of getting the scrim set up when it is time (setting up the lobby, providing the code to players, adjusting the lobby as needed, etc.)
05 Additional · Coaches · Team Staff
- Communicating with the Manager regarding the weekly schedule, in accordance with the IGL
- Be able to attend the majority of scrims (live or VOD review when possible)
- Prioritize feeling like an asset to the team — if it is brought to our attention that you are not feeling useful to a respective team, you may be at risk of demotion
TLDR:
Leading the team to success, aided by overseeing and monitoring from
Executives, and properly informing of any situation that needs resolving.
